Beauty Review: Iman Face Kit

I was in Ulta last week (which I strongly advise against. Sephora's service is way better!) and I decided to try Iman Face Kit Palette in St. Tropez, $20. The kit caught my eye because I'm always looking for travel friendly makeup to carry in my bag, and the lush neutrals were pretty and glamorous.

Sadly, this kit was a big disappointment. The color payoff was non-existent. Three of the four shades eye shadow looked the same ashy shade of grey on my eyes, and bronzer was too light while the blush was too orange. Hot. Mess.

I did not expect such poor pigment quality from Iman, as I figured a woman of color with a line of cosmetics for women of color should know better. But hey, what can you do?

On the plus side, the case was sleek and slim, and the large mirror was a nice touch. This makes me wonder how similar her other color products are to the colors in the palettes. Hmm...

Sorry this didn't work out for you. I haven't tried their eyeshadows before but I like her lip gloss and lip liner.

shame... its a wonderful line for stick foundation, powder and her cover cream is ammmazing. Her foundation is much better (cheaper and easier to find an exact match)than MAC imo!

You're right. Her foundations and powders are the business!

i have tried that and even brought it over in the uk. I thought it was really lovely on me. There another palette similar to it with darker shades if the makeup is too light. x
