Um, wow. Serena Williams looks amazing on the cover of the current issue of ESPN magazine!
Not only does her body look incredible, but her glam hair and makeup are fab too! I'm glad to see her beauty be recognized. Get it Serena!

Wow! I guess Sheryl Underwood was telling the truth this morning on Tom Joyner when she said Serena would be "bucket naked" on the cover of ESPN. But I have to say she looks fab! Some mix feelings for me...but she is still fab.

My mix feelings are about Serena baring all (at least most) on the cover of a magazine. I just remember several years back when she was just emerging as a sort of "sex symbol." You know, when she first started wearing the full body jumpsuits on the court and everyone was making such a big deal over her body...it was a bit too objectifying for me. So to see her on this cover brings back those memories and in deeper sense memories of years of black women's bodies being objectified by the world. I am not saying she's objectifying herself, but it just bothers me the way somebody always had a comment. But then again, I want to remain positive about the magazine's attempt to celebrate a black woman's beauty--if that's really what it is. See...mixed feelings.
